Nevertheless, many behavioral incidents still occurred, and continuous efforts are needed in the future. In the wake of a series of fire accidents involving explosions occurred at plants outside Japan since 2019, we initiated emergency safety audits. |

◎ | In Japan, we implemented measures to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 21,000 tons-CO2. As a result, domestic GHG emissions decreased, but the GHG emission intensity index did not meet the target of the mid-term plan. On the other hand, the overseas energy intensity index declined. |
Effective Utilization of Water Resources |

It has been maintained “an effective utilization rate of waste of 90% or higher, and final landfill disposal rate of 1% or lower,” which it has continued to achieve since 2011. Kuraray affiliates overseas complied with the legal requirements of each country. | |
