Scope 3 GHG emissions have been calculated only for Japan, but in 2024 the scope of calculation was expanded to cover the entire Group. At the same time, we also worked to improve the accuracy of the calculation by changing the calculation method, and the total Scope 3 emissions in 2024 were 4,251 thousand tons- CO₂e.

Under this calculation method, we identified "purchased products and services (Category 1)" as the major source of emissions exceeding 2/3 of the Group's Scope 3 emissions, and set a Scope 3 emissions reduction target for Category 1.

Reduction of Environmental Load/Setting New Goals for GHG Emission Reduction

We aim to obtain Science Based Targets (SBT)* certification for our Scope 1, 2 and 3 (Category 1) GHG emission reduction targets.

* SBT (Science Based Targets) Voluntary targets set by business corporations with regards to GHG emission reductions in a manner consistent with the levels required by the Paris Agreement. The SBT certification ensures that the company's targets are scientifically based and aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
