Kuraray Co., Ltd. and Kuraray Trading Co., Ltd. have announced the decision to increase the prices of PMMA (methacrylic resin) extruded sheets, PMMA cast sheets and PMMA extruded mirror sheets for shipments commencing June 21, 2017.
The prices of both methyl methacrylate (MMA) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) —the materials used to create the abovementioned sheets—have significantly increased, which has diminished revenue from each type of PMMA sheet. Amid this environment, Kuraray and Kuraray Trading both decided to implement the price revisions detailed below to maintain stable supply and improve profitability.
