Kuraray Chemical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka; President: Yasuhiro Yamamoto), a Kuraray Group company, hereby announces its decision to participate in Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2016. The largest exhibition of its kind in Asia, this international trade show for water treatment solutions will be held from July 11 to 13, 2016, in Singapore.
1.Background and Objectives of Participation
Singapore is one of the world’s market leaders in terms of water treatment technologies. SIWW provides the Kuraray Group with a valuable opportunity to introduce its relevant technologies and products as well as its solid track record to audiences from around Southeast Asia. Leveraging this opportunity, the Group will secure greater presence in this regional market.
2.Main Content Being Exhibited
Kuraray Chemical will exhibit key Group products, including activated carbon, water purifying filters, water treatment membranes and PVA gel, demonstrating their use in an easy to understand manner via an activated carbon water flow testing machine. Materials describing our technologies will also be distributed. Featured products include:
- KURARAY COAL™, a lineup of activated carbon products finely tuned to specific applications through the use of optimal ingredients to precisely control pore size and granularity
- Water purifying filters made by molding and combining fibrous activated carbon, coconut shell-based activated carbon and silver-impregnated antibacterial activated carbon to realize superior capabilities with regard to the removal of lead, trihalomethane and free chlorine as well as mold and other odorous substances from water
- Water treatment membranes for use in a variety of industrial fields ranging from semiconductor manufacturing to food processing
- PVA gel employing an extremely fine network structure to trap and carry away microorganisms along with an inhabiting bacteria to break down organic substances that is used for such applications as industrial and household wastewater treatment systems
