Kuraray Chemical Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Osaka City; President: Yasuhiro Yamamoto) will exhibit in the Japan pavilion (sponsored by the Japan External Trade Organization) at INDO WATER 2015, Indonesia’s largest water treatment event, held in Jakarta from May 27 to 29, 2015.
1. Purpose and Context of the Exhibit
As Indonesia’s economic development continues, the importance of water treatment technology, including industrial wastewater treatment, water supply and sewage systems, is growing. INDO WATER, now in its 11th year, is Indonesia’s largest water treatment-related event. This year, 550 corporations and organizations from 33 countries will participate. The Kuraray Group regards the creation and expansion of new businesses related to water and the environment as an important management priority and is making Groupwide efforts to grow its aqua business. Through this event, Kuraray will work to cultivate markets in Southeast Asia by presenting its water treatment technologies employing activated carbon.
2. Main Content of the Exhibit
The exhibit will present Kuraray’s activated carbon and other products in an easy-to-understand format, with samples, panels and demo units (activated carbon water filters).

Wet molding carbon filters (water purifying filters)
Made by molding and combining fibrous activated carbon and silver-impregnated antibacterial activated carbon, these water cleaning filters are excellent at removing soluble lead, trihalomethane and free chlorine as well as mold and other odorous substances from water.
