KURAPET™ is a PET resin that applies direct blow molding, and was developed by using Kuraray’s proprietary modification formula to improve the melt viscosity (drawdown ratio), melting point and crystallization speed, which were issues with conventional PET resins. It enables molding of highly transparent, chemical-resistant and shock-resistant containers, and is widely used in cosmetic bottles, food containers, shampoo bottles and other products as a substitute for glass bottles.
