About VECSTARTM
VECSTARTM is the first liquid crystal polymer (LCP) film in the world, based on Kuraray's proprietary film forming technology.
VECSTARTM offers excellent high frequency characteristics for high speed printed circuits and high frequency electronic devices.
It is widely used for base material of printed circuit.
You can apply VECSTARTM for a lot of applications on its excellent properties (heat resistance, dimensional stability, low water absorption, flame resistance, gas barrier etc.) and characteristics of thermoplastic materials (processability etc.)
What is Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP)?
Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) is a collective term for thermoplastic synthetic resins with regularly arranged linear chains of molecules in the molten state. It is one of the super engineering plastics.
It is widely used as a base material for printed circuits in electric and electronic products such as smartphones, tablets, and PCs, as well as in automobiles, and as injection molded products such as precision connectors and precision sockets.
LCP has the following properties derived from its unique structure
- High flowability
- Good dimensional stability
- High rigidity
- Low linear expansion
- High gas barrier properties
- Low water absorption
- Good vibration absorption
